There are a number of diseases which can interact with Norvasc; therefore it is advised to consult with healthcare providers before administering the drug. Some of the common diseases which can interact with Norvasc include liver disease; or other diseases of the heart or blood vessels such as sick sinus syndrome, aortic stenosis, heart failure, low blood pressure or coronary artery disease. Norvasc comes in the FDA pregnancy category C. It means it has not been proved whether the drug is harmful for an unborn baby. Consultation with healthcare providers is must for pregnant women or who want to be a pregnant during the treatment. In fact, it has not also been proved whether the medication passes to breast milk. Therefore, breast feeding women are strictly advised to consult healthcare providers before taking the medication. People who are 65 or more are more likely to experience side effects from Norvasc, they need dose adjustments.

Taking Generic Norvasc
Administer Norvasc as prescribed by your healthcare providers. If you are unable to understand the directions, then you should consult pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. You are supposed to take the medication with a full glass of water. Before stopping the regular use of the drug, you should talk to your doctor even if you feel better. If you stop taking the drug without consultation with healthcare providers, your condition can reach where you were before. So, take the medication only after consultation with healthcare providers. Store the medication at room temperature and away from moisture and heat.  

Missed dose of Norvasc
Try to administer the drug as prescribed by your healthcare providers. If you forget to take the drug, then take it as soon as you remember. And if it is almost time for next dose, then skip the missed dose and go with daily dosing schedule. Double dose of the drug is strictly prohibited.

Overdose of Norvasc
If you feel that you have administered the drug more than prescribed, then you need to seek for immediate medical help. Some of the overdose symptoms of Norvasc include dizziness, weakness, chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, coma, slurred speech, and confusion.  

Patients should avoid while administering Generic Norvasc
Following recommendations of your doctor concerning diet or exercise is must. Pay due attention when you stand up or sit down from a lying position, especially when you wake up during the night. Avoid alcohol or use with cautious. Sometimes, the use of alcohol may result in lowering blood pressure and increasing drowsiness or dizziness while administering Norvasc.

Common side-effects of Generic Norvasc
If patients experience any side-effects, they are advised to stop taking the medication and seek for immediate medical help. Some of the common side-effects include an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives; unusually fast or slow heartbeat; chest pain; severe dizziness or fainting; psychosis; jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); or swelling of the legs or ankles. There are other less severe side-effects may also arise if you administer the drug. Do not stop taking the drug if you experience less severe side-effect i.e. fatigue or tiredness, headache, insomnia, vivid or abnormal dreams, flushing, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, increased or difficult urination.
